When you become a foster carer with Foster Wales Denbighshire, you will receive significant financial support. These generous allowances are based on various factors such as the type of fostering you undertake, the child’s or young persons age, how many children you foster, and for how long.

For example, right now in Denbighshire there are Foster Carers who receive between £10,036 and £30,108 per year.

We are all about helping you grow. The services we provide to help with your development are the same across the length and breadth of Wales. This means you can benefit from a shared and considered support package. We want you to grow to your fullest potential, and our role is to get you there.

As a foster carer with us, you will have an individual learning record and development plan. This keeps a track of your progress during your fostering journey. It’s filled with all of the transferable skills and experiences you have gained along the way, and sets a path for your future too.

Foster Wales Denbighshire are beside you, every step of the way. You will always have a team to encourage you, guide you and support you. You will always have your Foster Wales team.

At all times, you will also have the help of an experienced professional social worker for you, your family and your whole network. You will have professional support 24/7. Whenever and wherever you need advice, guidance or support.

On top of this, you’ll have access to a number of local foster care support groups where you’ll have access to peer support. You’ll be able to meet other foster carers in similar situations, share experiences and stories, and build relationships. You will find new communities and people who understand.

You will be invited to regular events and activities where you can get closer to other foster families. You will gain experiences, new friendships and lasting memories.

Extensive online information is always available for you to access so you will never feel alone.

You will become a member of The Fostering Network (TFN) and the Association for Fostering and Adoption (AFA) Cymru when you join us. These memberships are fully paid for by us. These specialist fostering organisations offer independent support, advice, guidance and much more. We understand how important this is, and that is why it all comes as standard.
